Chitra Padmanabhan is a veteran journalist and poet. She has a long career spanning 35 years and experience working with leading Indian daily newspapers, such as The Economic Times, Hindustan Times, The Pioneer, and news magazines, like Tehelka. She wrote on several issues, like art and culture, history, women’s issues, and cinema. Padmanabhan was former Editorial Head of Pitara Kids’ Network and currently an Honorary Editor of the organization. She wrote several features, stories, and poems for children. Some of her best-loved children’s poems include “Flower on the Road,” “How Many Greens?”, “Roadside Locksmith,” “The Pigeon Party,” etc.
